Katie has been a part of the APC Hunter team since January 2019, gaining a solid training in technical work and prosthetic fabrication prior to undertaking clinical work. She brings her skills and love of colour from her previous field of graphic design and illustration, which often gets called on when clients want a custom colour or socket design. She graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Clinical Prosthetics & Orthotics in 2018.
The P&O industry is important to Katie as growing up in regional far north coast of NSW with a father who is an amputee, her main motivation is to provide more services for regional and rural areas to people like her father, helping them live their lives to their full potential. Working with an amazing, positive team who support each other makes each day at work for Katie a highlight, and she looks forward to a long career with APC Prosthetics. She is currently also attending out regional Tamworth clinic.
