On February 4th, 2018, Nathan’s life changed when he was involved in an accident that led to the amputation of his leg.. In the hospital, he had to face the question, “Where do I go from here?”
Despite his turmoil, Nathan found strength in the support of his family and friends, who helped him cope with his new situation. Finding support was key to his recovery. For Nathan, letting his emotions out was essential to his process.
The APC, or “Australian Prosthetics Centre”, played a key role in helping Nathan get back to his old life. Nathan saw in APC a group that was willing to support his goals, no matter how difficult it was. Nathan praised Serum from APC for his positive attitude and willingness to do everything Nathan wanted to have a protective bandage for a variety of occasions, from weddings to running, and APC ensured that his amputation wouldn’t stop him.
One of the things APC is most proud of about Nathan is his ability to return to his life after amputation as if nothing had changed. The message they want to instill in people is that amputation shouldn’t change everything you do, but instead find ways to get back to what you were doing before.
For Nathan, dealing with depression is a big challenge However, she realized that expressing her emotions and having good people around her helped her overcome her depression. He added that APC gave him the love and support he needed, and he saw it as a positive force in his life.
The key to facing challenges is having an idea of where you want to go in the future. No matter what difficulties come, knowing your destination and the steps you need to take to get there will help you get through each day.
